Thank you for visiting the official website of the award-winning Milwaukee Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated!
Founded in 1913 on the campus of Howard University by twenty-two dynamic women, we are a sisterhood of college educated women with a mission to provide assistance and support to our local communities. The Milwaukee Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta is a public service sorority and has served the Milwaukee Community since 1945.
Our sisterhood serves the community through our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust in the following areas:
International Awareness and Involvement
Physical and Mental Health
Political Awareness and Involvement
For more than 70 years, our chapter has been known for projects that emphasize: youth mentorship; voter registration and education; physical and mental health awareness; philanthropic support community causes – locally, nationally, and globally. Our plan is to continue to be a resource in our community; one that is instrumental in promoting and creating a legacy of hope, joy, love and peace for our current and future generations. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is a sisterhood called to serve – and serve is what we do with a servant’s heart!
For the 2017 Sorority Year, the Milwaukee Alumnae Chapter will work to Be GREAT for both our membership and our community. This year we will work with a renewed focus on community building through the revitalization of familiar partnerships, while cultivating new ones. We will continue to strengthen and enhance our youth programs, and look forward to the continuation of our youth scholarship offerings. We will have an even GREATer presence in our service area with an extension of efforts to the Racine and Kenosha communities.
