THE BEGINNING:

Beta Tau was chartered by seven young women with a vision for the future. The first organizational meeting was held on January 27, 1945. The charter members are:

FROM BETA TAU TO MILWAUKEE ALUMNAE

Beta Tau was recognized from 1945-1975. In 1975, the name was changed to Milwaukee Alumnae and celebrated 55 years in the Milwaukee community in 2000. In 1999 Milwaukee Alumnae was named Midwest Regional Chapter of the Year.

One of Milwaukee Alumnae's major programs is The Delta Memorial Endowment Fund (DMEF). It is a tax-exempt corporation for charitable, literary, and educational purposes. In the year 2001, DMEF celebrated its 25th anniversary.
