2005 DELTA OF THE YEAR

 

Milwaukee Alumnae Chapter is proud to present  the 2005 Delta of the Year award to Soror Lenora Brown-Brown.

Soror Brown-Brown was initiated in April, 2000 to the Milwaukee Alumnae Chapter (Milwaukee, WI) and is a life member.

She works as a special education teacher for the Milwaukee Public School (MPS) system.  While employed with MPS, she developed a district wide Early Childhood Curriculum for children with exceptional needs.  Other jobs include special education teacher and she is a licensed cosmetologist.

"Brown-Brown" as she is affectionately called by chapter members, has served on various committees for Milwaukee Alumnae including co-chair of Founders Day for the last 3 years.  She also served on the DMEF executive board and Literary Luncheon for 3 years each.

Other participation in the chapter include AIDS Walk of Wisconsin, she organized Delta team for Next Door Foundation's Walk for Children and she was co-chair for Delta team's Relay Walk for Cancer which raised $1,550.

Soror Brown-Brown is a native of Clarksdale, Mississippi and with her husband, Albert, have 3 children and one grandchild.  In addition, she is an active member of Greater Spring Hill Baptist Church (Milwaukee, WI) serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Advisor, choir member and assistant treasurer.
